Sitting, and I must continue to think
Puzzled, what is the consequence?
What has it come to? All gone in a blink
A friendship about to make…

Her tears keep flowing cause he's been lying…
He's still sweet talking but she's not buying.
She's been giving more than what she's gotten
Ain’t hard to see he's just plain rotten…
And she just doesn't know what to do about him…
Girl it ain't hard to see where you're going…
You need only open your eyes and start knowing…
That there's a light at the end of this tunnel…

Sometimes you live more when you live without…
You're so beautiful when you smile, so wipe those drab tears away…

My Rainbow

Born pre-me, not much chance they'd start
But, she survived every color in her tiny little heart
Many families back East whom she'd never call
In foster care without much choice at all
She met a cute boy one day
Got married then two came along the way
But his heart wasn't feeling what she felt
No, it wasn't in the family they both built
And she loved with all she knew
But ached in desperate shades of blue
And now with every bill a struggle to pay
She wondered how long she'd go on this way
She worried how her children dealt
And if colorless was what they felt
But she kept the faith, and she'd say:
Though hard, not an easy dream to see
It's become very clear to me
It's all I wanna be
So good bye old, hello new
I have some colors to grow
Even blue
And though some will die in a colorless gloom
Others will thrive in a heartfelt bloom
And I know the dream one day will out weigh to pain
